The adventures of Geralt of Rivia ended with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its extension Blood & Winebut even if a new trilogy of video games is in development at CD Projectthe return of Witcher is not confirmed. However, Geralt will make his return in another media.
As reported GamesRadar+, Geralt of Rivia will be the star of The Witcher: Corvo Biancoa new series of comics scripted by Bartosz Sztybor, already behind The Witcher: Wild Animals. The comic book mini-series will be published by Dark Horse and designed by Corrado Mastantuono. The first volume will be entitled to four alternative covers, all representing Geralt. Bartosz Sztybor says:
For anyone who knows Geralt, Corvo Bianco is his end. The end of his journey, the one and only place he can retire – take a break from his monster slayings and try to figure out how to make his own wine. As a fan of pop culture and postmodern genre mixing, this setup above sounded like a perfect premise for a western. A western in the world of The Witcher is something that has never been done before! So I quickly got excited and thought about bringing someone on board who really knows what the western is. Corrado Mastantuono is a comics legend, one of the greatest names of all time, a person who created the most important titles in European comics, including a true western classic – Tex. With him, mixing fantasy and western has never been so easy and so beautiful. Geralt traveling the continent with a band of wild mages, elves and dwarves is my homage to Andrzej Sapkowski, Clint Eastwood and Sergio Leone. Imagine, Yennefer dueling with another mage and Geralt attacking a stagecoach. Corvo Bianco was his dream, but he must fight to achieve it!
Geralt is therefore not yet ready to retire at Toussaintthe fans are delighted, but would still have hoped that the Witcher makes his return differently. At least, The Witcher: Corvo Bianco will allow you to wait until the release of The Witcher 4.
