- The Witcher season 3 is in pre-production.
- The producers of the Netflix series are releasing images of potential locations for the new episodes.
- Filming will begin in March 2022.
The budget of the Netflix series “The Witcher” increases from season to season and the series comes up with higher quality costumes and sets. Season 2 took us to Kaer Morhen and the enchanted mansion of Nivellen (“Game of Thrones” star Kristofer Hivju).
In season 3, too, the Netflix original wants to score with atmospheric sets. Pre-production on the new episodes has already begun, and series creator Lauren S. Hissrich and executive producer Steven Gaub are busy posting pictures on Instagram of set construction and potential new filming locations that Geralt and company may soon be roaming.
In season 3 you can expect many enchanted forests and dark corners where some monsters are sure to be lurking. Filming will start in March, and by then the producers will no doubt have completed their explorations.
The “The Witcher” spin-off “The Witcher: Blood Origin” is expected to start in summer 2022, in which we will learn more about the mysterious conjunction of the spheres and the history of the elves.
