“The worst moment of my life”: funny and cult, The Office? Not for Dakota Johnson!

Starring in “Madame Web” at Sony/Marvel, Dakota Johnson has bad memories of her time on the set of “The Office” in the series finale.

Guest of Late Night Show by Seth Meyers to talk about his next Marvel film and spin-off of the Spider-Man saga, Madam Web, which is about to be released on our screens, Dakota Johnson remembered with great humor his appearance in the The final episode of The Office, which aired on NBC in May 2013.

“I’m barely in the p***** series”

The actress, who still had two years ahead of her before making herself known thanks to Fifty Shades of Gray (2015), actually had a small role in the hit sitcom where she played an accountant… named Dakota! As a big fan of the show, she jumped at the chance to be part of the last episode.

Honestly, it was the worst time of my life”, she announced before letting out a laugh. The actress, known for her dry humor, sarcasm and self-deprecation, added:

They said to me: ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’ And I said, ‘Sure,’ thinking I wouldn’t be [sur le tournage] only half a day. I stayed there two weeks. And I’m barely in the p***** series.

Speaking about the atmosphere on set, she continued: “They were sad. There was a strange dynamic in place for 10 years. Some people didn’t talk to each other. I came in and said, ‘I’m so excited to be here!’ But no one wanted to talk to me. Nobody gave a damn… I was in the background of all these scenes, faxing things.

Dakota Johnson – And Seth Meyers notably – were not the most notable guest stars in the series finale. The episode indeed welcomed back beloved actors such as Steve Carrell, BJ Novak and Mindy Kaling. Other guests included Rachael Harris, Joan Cusack and Ed Begley Jr..

The Office at the cinema and a reboot?

Bryan Cranston, who directed Season 9 Episode 4, titled “The Office Bus,” recently made headlines when he asked the series’ heroines, Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey (Angela ), if they were up for a movie version of The Office.

For Jenna Fischerif Greg Daniels, the creator of the series, is involved, it’s a yes. Angela Kinsey also responded favorably: “I would do it for my kids because I think they would find it fun”, she said (via Variety).

Fans of The Office also received huge news at the start of the year when it was revealed that Greg Daniels was working on a reboot. Although there has been no official casting announcement, many of the original actors have expressed interest in reprising their roles, alongside newcomers.

There have been no revelations regarding the plot yet. However, Greg Daniels said it would be fun “to find lost episodes and shoot them like they were in 2010 or something” (via MovieWeb).

The plot could therefore focus on these “lost episodes” as he calls them or continue in the 2020s. To be continued.

Dakota Johnson can be found in Madam Web at the cinema starting this Wednesday, February 14.
