Remember… A few years before this improbable larceny, Victor and Ashley were a couple and were waiting for a happy event. But Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), the businessman’s great love, had then revealed to him that she was suffering from cancer… Without thinking, Victor had decided at the time to return to the mother suffering from her first child, Victoria, fatally abandoning the poor and fragile Ashley.
Considering herself incapable of raising this baby alone, Jack’s sister (Peter Bergman) had made the difficult choice to terminate her pregnancy by proceeding, therefore, to an abortion. Following this intervention, Ashley had seen her mental health decline and had even ended up confined in a psychiatric hospital!
