“The White Lotus” star is set to become George Michael
The makers of a new biopic are reportedly wanting Theo James to play George Michael.

Biopics have been in vogue for a while and George Michael is also set to get a biopic – starring Theo James.
The life of George Michael (1963-2016) is apparently to be filmed. And the makers should already have a certain actor in mind for the leading role: Theo James (38). This is reported by the British “Daily Mail” citing an anonymous insider.
According to this, a biopic about the singer, who died at the end of 2016, is planned with a budget of 85 million pounds, the equivalent of almost 96 million euros. According to the report, the Michaels family is behind the project.
The script is probably almost finished
“The script is in its final stages and the producers are looking for their lead actor,” an anonymous source is quoted as saying. Accordingly, James was spoken of in this context, who would be “perfect for the role”. For example, Michael had a Greek Cypriot father and James also has Greek ancestors.
The actor was last seen in the second season of the acclaimed HBO series The White Lotus and is also known for the Divergent film series. It is unclear if he has already been asked for the role.
It is also said that the film should, among other things, shed light on the singer’s time with the duo Wham!, his solo career and also scandals from Michael’s life. There are currently no exact details, such as what the film should be called or when it could be released.
