There is worse than walking on Lego, there are Lego sound effects in ASMR

Lego will launch in September 2023 a collection allowing to assemble insects. This product from the Ideas range comes with an ASMR playlist, which you can listen to now without paying anything. At your peril.

Lego bricks are known for a terrible flaw: when they are scattered on the ground and walked on, especially barefoot, the pain is sharp and nagging. But, imagine that there is much worse in this world. Imagine official ASMR tracks, made up of sound effects made with Lego. You refuse to accept this reality? We regret to inform you that these infernal tools exist.

On September 7, 2023, Lego will launch a new product called “The Insect Collection”, integrated into the Ideas range (designed by enthusiasts who submit their project to votes) and sold for €79.99. To accompany this launch, the Danish firm had the good idea to create “ a playlist inspired by the three extraordinary insects “. She got closer to the artist Sanaa Kelley, a recognized sound designer who works for cinema and television (she notably worked on the series Ted Lasso, streaming on Apple TV+). The result is no less agonizing.

Building Lego with an ASMR playlist? The life you can choose

The playlist is already available on the product page numbered 21342. You don’t even have to buy anything to enjoy it. It is divided into four separate tracks, one general (about 10 minutes) and three others in reference to each insect (45 minutes each). In total, there are nearly three hours of sound effects made with ” the rustling, banging and interlocking sounds produced by Lego bricks “, accompanied by some sound effects. So the idea is to hit the play button and then start the build process. A challenge.

Thanks to this set, you can assemble three different insects:

  • The blue morpho butterfly;
  • The Hercules Dynasty Beetle;
  • The Chinese Mantis.

There are 1,111 pieces in all and each model has its own instruction booklet so that several people can build on their own.

Note that this is not the first time that Lego has embarked on ASMR. In 2021, the multinational created the White Noise playlist, made up of seven 30-minute titles with a sometimes very obvious name (Searching of the One). It is notably available on Spotify and, again, is supposed to soothe us against the stress of everyday life.
