We compared the ingredient lists of different supermarket nuggets, using the Yuka app. Find out which ones get the highest rating and have the most interesting composition.

Like cordon-bleus, industrial chicken nuggets are processed foods which are not necessarily healthy. High in fat and salt, they also often contain additives and poor quality chicken or turkey meat. This is why nutritionists advise carrying out its nhomemade chicken uggswith meat, breadcrumbs and egg whites, to obtain a more nutritionally interesting dish.

But if you don’t have time to start preparing homemade nuggets, you can opt for industrial chicken nuggets which get a good rating on the Yuka app. We found a benchmark of nuggets that are rated “excellent” by the app and contain no risky additives.

The best industrial chicken nuggets according to Yuka

According to the Yuka app, the Picard breaded chicken nuggets are among the most beneficial to health. For 100g of product, we find 16g protein, 0.9g of saturated fat, 1g of sugar, 0.57g of salt and no risky additives. A very good composition which allows these nuggets to obtain the score of 84/100. As for the price, these nuggets are sold at €13.31 per kilo, or €7.99 per 600 g bag.

To improve the nutritional quality of your plate, do not hesitate to consume these nuggets with a side dish of vegetables and avoid ultra-fat and ultra-sweet sauces such as ketchup or very fatty sauces such as mayonnaise.
