Consumer recall: batches of contaminated merguez

This April 4, an alert was added to the Rappel Conso website regarding the presence of salmonellaa bacteria that can cause an infectious disease called salmonellosis, in products sold in the Leclerc and Système U brands (Super U, Hyper U), from March 27 to 29, 2024. These are batches of merguez from the Tradival brand, sold in packaging of 6 to 12bearing the following numbers:

  • Barcode: 3608568200251; batch: A4087005
  • Barcode: 3608568200268; batch: A4087005
  • Barcode: 3608568390907; batch: A4087005
  • Barcode: 3608568350031; batch: A4087555
  • Barcode: 3608568390518; batch: A4087005

Their respective expiration dates are : April 5, 2024, for the first two batches, between April 17 and 19, and April 6 to 7, for the following two batches. Finally, for the last one, the expiration date is between April 3 and 4. Do not eat these merguez. You can return the affected batches to the store or destroy them. You will be fully refunded. Concerning salmonellosis, we can read on the Rappel Conso website that it is “from a food poisoning which results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting)of sudden onset, often accompanied by fever and headaches which occur ggenerally 6 hours to 72 hours after consumption of contaminated products”.
