These new LED and OLED televisions focus on useful innovation

The Thomson brand has just unveiled all of its TV series, preferring to focus on useful innovations rather than the race for performance. At the same time, it also offers two new boxes under Google TV to make an old television connected with the most recent applications.

In 2024, Thomson is offering several new series of televisions featuring the Google TV system to allow users to find the most popular applications and also offer the possibility of viewing content wirelessly from Android devices.

The most premium series is represented by the OG8C14 OLED models. It is available in 42, 48, 55, 65 and 77 inches and uses a White-OLED panel provided by LG Display capable of displaying Ultra HD definition with a maximum frequency of 120 Hz. This series is compatible with the HDR video format Dolby Vision and animated by Google TV. The voice assistant is therefore integrated.

We can count on connectivity from several HDMI 2.1 inputs, two of which support signals up to 120 Hz. The televisions have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They come with a backlit remote control including a few keys for direct access to streaming platforms including YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, for example. The televisions in this series benefit from a very sober design with an extremely thin frame and a panel installed on a central stand which can rotate approximately 30 degrees to the right or to the left.

The new Thomson OG8C14 OLED TV series will be available in May or June for prices which have not yet been communicated at the time of writing.
