A recent study carried out by the site faireparterie.fr and relayed by Female Version this Friday, August 4 made it possible to identify these various missteps.
Contrary to what one might think, opting for white clothes is not the behavior that newlyweds consider the worst! Indeed, according to the results brought to light by this survey, 56% of French people believe that an outfit of this color, when invited to a wedding, is acceptable. So, what are the six things not to do when you are invited to a wedding? Notice to foodies, the first misstep identified concerns food. More precisely, 72% of respondents consider it unacceptable to attack the buffet before it opens. Respondents found this behavior so rude that they ranked it number one.
In second place is the fact of putting yourself forward. Guests who adopt this type of posture are poorly perceived by 68% of respondents. Then we find the fact of don’t dance (also 68%), the fact of refuse to take part in entertainment (65%) or even – a little less serious – miss the entertainment (56%), details Female Version. Finally, in sixth position is the fact of make embarrassing speeches for newlyweds (also 56%).

Does that seem disproportionate to you? You must know that many couples are under great pressure so that their wedding is the best day of their lives. To say “yes” for eternity represents a staggering cost. Last June, the Mariages.net site carried out a study on the subject. It emerged that in 2023, French couples spent, on average, the sum of 17,100 euros to seal their union.
More specifically, this study highlighted the fact that the three main items of expenditure future spouses were the trainer (110 euros per guest on average), the place where the reception takes place (5,000 euros on average) and the complete bridal outfits of the bride and groom (between 2,000 and 3,200 euros).
