How to make a homemade yogurt ?

Making yogurt at home is easy! With or without a yogurt maker, you can make a creamy and delicious yogurt, to be flavored according to your tastes. To start, pour milk into the pan and heat until it reaches around 85-90°C. This helps kill unwanted bacteria. Let the milk cool to around 43-46°C. Use a thermometer to check the temperature. In a small bowl, mix 2 to 4 tablespoons of natural yogurt with a small amount of lukewarm milk. This will serve as a starter for fermentation. Add this mixture to the rest of the milk in the saucepan and stir well to combine. Pour the mixture into the yogurt maker jars and follow the yogurt maker’s instructions for fermentation time. Typically it takes 6-10 hours. Once fermentation is complete, place the jars in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours so that the yogurt takes on its consistency.

If you don’t have a yogurt maker, follow the same steps as before until you have the mixture ready in the pan. Then pour the mixture into the glass or ceramic jars. Place the jars in a warm place (around 40-45°C) for fermentation. You can use a preheated oven at a low temperature (around 40°C), a radiator, an electric blanket, or other methods to maintain heat. Fermentation can take 6 to 12 hours. Once fermentation is complete, refrigerate the jars for at least 4 hours for the yogurt to take on its consistency.
