While he refuses to leave his house, a Belgian octogenarian finds himself living in the middle of a roundabout.
It’s an unusual story. In the north of Belgium, in Mechelen, a resident refuses to leave his house, althoughit is now in the middle of a roundaboutreported 7 out of 7a Belgian daily newspaper.
Before that, this man lived next to several houses. However, everything has changed due to recent work aimed at improving traffic flow in the areasince a train station is located near the property of the octogenarian.
The octogenarian refuses to leave his house
This story is still very touching. This gentleman has lived in his house for 40 years, and does not want to part with it for various reasons, as he explains himself on a daily basis 7 out of 7 : “I am also 80 now, moving at my age is not an option”. He also added that the sums offered to him to move are not enough to pay for a house that could have the same situation as his, in his city.
Since he therefore refuses to itch and also refuses all the proposals made to him, his house thus found itself alone, in the middle of a roundabout. This one will be taken by buses as soon as the connection is effective.
