Match report will follow shortly.

SV Sandhausen – Hansa Rostock 1: 2 (0: 2)

Hansa Rostock is very close to another season in the second division. Coach Alois Schwartz’s team won 2-1 (2-0) at bottom SV Sandhausen and pulled away from the relegation zone – relegation could also be arithmetically certain as early as Sunday. In Sandhausen, on the other hand, hope could continue to dwindle by then.

Nils Fröling (17th) and Kai Pröger (37th, penalty kick) shot Hansa to victory, Janik Bachmann (54th) shortened for Sandhausen. Rostock (37 points) is now seven points ahead of Arminia Bielefeld (30), East Westphalia is in relegation place 16. Sandhausen (28) is getting closer and closer to relegation. Bielefeld and Jahn Regensburg (28) can distance the tail light during the weekend.

Hansa did not present themselves clearly superior in the first section, but more effectively than the hosts. Fröling’s solo run took the lead, then Pröger was hit by Arne Sicker in the penalty area – and converted the penalty himself.

The second half was then shaped by SV Sandhausen. Bachmann scored the goal with a header, and a little later the stadium was already celebrating the supposed equalizer after Abu-Bekir El-Zein’s long-range shot (66′). However, Kemal Ademi deflected with his hand.
