fun, news, tips… what else?

It has been since January 20 that Maël Briand, 23, has disappeared. His roommate was challenged by a specific detail.

Fourteen days have passed since the disappearance of Maël Briand, 23 years old. Many disappearances are unfortunately topical in addition to the young man: the couple Leslie and Kevin whose families are leading the investigation, but also the young Hélèna, whose relatives fear a bad meeting. Unfortunately for the family of 18-year-old Sihem, who had recently disappeared, her body has just been found dead in a forest. On January 20, Maël, meanwhile, was seen one last time with a snow shovel in hand, in Méribel, Savoie. Maël had come to do the season in a restaurant in the resort but did not go to work on January 20. Since then, no one has heard from him.

The youngster from Rennes, worked as a cook in the restaurant Small Onions. He had only taken up his post there for three days, but his employer immediately reported him missing after not hearing from him when he was due to come to work: “He was motivated, kind, correct. There was no problem”said the restaurant manager, as reported RMC Crime.

The detail that Maël’s roommate noticed in their bathroom

TF1 reported the testimony of Maël’s roommate, another seasonal worker. The latter assured that the missing young man was not in his bed on January 19. He also noticed something strange: the bathroom was closed from the inside, but the window was open. Maël’s sister, Yaëlle, said: “His roommate tried to look in the bathroom but the door was closed. He realized after that the window was open and that Mael was probably out therewithout knowing why” she explained.

In addition to this suspicious element, Maël sent a most disturbing SMS at 2:20 a.m. morning to one of his friends who lives in Brittany, where the young man is from. The SMS was therefore sent the night of Maël’s disappearance. The latter wrote, visibly panicked: I am in danger Manual at the restaurant Petits Oignons”. Again, his sister does not understand: “My brother doesn’t let it go. That’s why I don’t understand the ‘I’m in danger'”, she said. His brother was identified for the very last time on the morning of January 20, at a roundabout with a snow shovel in his hand.
