Microsoft has deployed the update of an application necessary for the proper functioning of Windows 11. It is now much faster, and therefore pleasant, to use.
Beyond the addition of new features, Windows 11 is also updated to modify elements invisible to users, but whose impact is felt while using the operating system. This time, the emphasis was placed on the concrete effects, and it is clear that they are there.

After two weeks of testing, Microsoft is deploying the update of an application integrated into Windows and essential to its operation: the Microsoft Store. Even if you don’t buy anything it offers, and even if you never actually open it, it’s what ensures the proper functioning of the programs installed by default on your PC by updating them. It therefore has an important role.
Microsoft updates this app and makes it much faster
On the program page, you can read this under the line What’s new in this version : “iA few months ago, we improved performance when launching the Microsoft Store. Now we’re making it even faster in this v22403 update. We have improved the speed of launching the application, and we have also improved performance when opening a product page“. For update Microsoft Store, you must use… the Microsoft Store. Once it is open:
- See you in Library by clicking on the icon with this name at the bottom left.
- At the top right, click the button Get updates.
- Wait while they are done. After that of the Store, the latter will restart automatically.
The changes between before and after the update are clearly visible. If it is more difficult to realize the gain when opening a page, it is obvious on one specific point: displaying the Buy button on one of them. On average it could take 4 or 5 seconds to arrive. It’s now almost instantaneous.
