External batteries have changed a lot over the years. Tiny batteries designed to charge your phone, today they pack tens of thousands of milliamp-hours of power and can produce 100W of power.

For example, take the Baseus Blade.
It is a 20,000 mAh lithium battery equipped with two USB-C and USB-A ports. USB-C ports are capable of 100W maximum output and 65W input. USB-C ports are capable of 100W maximum output and 65W input, and USB-C ports are capable of 100W maximum output and 65W input, and USB-A ports with 30W output.
On the front, a screen displays the input and output (in volts and amps), as well as the time remaining for charging and discharging.

I tested Baseus’ claims – 20,000mAh capacity, 100W USB-C output, 30W USB-A output, 65W USB-C input, 1.5 hour charge time – and they are all verified.

The large, easy-to-read display is nice and gives you at-a-glance information about the capacity, charge/recharge time, and volts and amps produced by the power bank. This lets you know exactly what’s going on with the power bank without having to squint, press buttons, or decipher tiny flashing LEDs.
There are two things I don’t like about the Baseus Blade.
First, it gets hot in use. I recorded temperatures of 45ºC/113ºF in the front and 54ºC/129ºF in the rear.

While these temperatures are safe, and I’ve had no problem running the power bank for extended periods of time, it’s not something I’d like to run on my lap, and certainly not on anything like a rug or a tablecloth.
The power bank is also a dust magnet, and the glossy surfaces pick up and show off every bit of dirt and dust.
The power bank also comes with a 90 centimeter USB-C to USB-C charging cable rated at 100W and a soft carrying pouch.
Overall, yes it’s true, I appreciate it. A lot.
The shape is refreshing and much better suited for use with laptops, and the screen is a nice feature that gives an easy-to-read overview of the power bank’s status.
It is a very convenient way to carry power to charge your laptop on the go. And at 99 euros, it’s a quality external battery that can handle heavy electrical loads available at a decent price.
