You might not want to watch this film with your family at Christmas: Amazon Prime Video is canceling it Launch of “Saltburn” on December 22, 2023. The latest work by Oscar winner Emerald Fennell (“Promising Young Women”) has already caused a stir in the cinema and is now making the jump to the Prime Video program.
“Saltburn” tells the story of the young student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan, “The Banshees of Inisherin”), who finally wants to gain a foothold socially at Oxford University. There he meets the charming Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi, “Priscilla”), who invites him to his aristocratic family’s country estate for the summer. What initially begins as a comedy quickly becomes a dark psychological thriller.
Of course, we don’t want to give too much away at this point, but the film has several really disturbing scenes that caused a lot of reaction videos on the Internet. So if you only want to see “Saltburn” because of the teen heartthrobs Jacob Elordi or Barry Keoghan, you should be warned.
