A recent TikTok video brought to life a Cold War submachine gun that was totally abandoned on Warzone Pacific, the LAPA, which is nevertheless deadly in melee.
Since its launch in 2019 as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Warzone has integrated two new installments and introduced all the weapons of Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard.
And when these new weapons were added to the already existing mix, some that were previously heavily used soon fell by the wayside.
However, while they may be forgotten, these ancient weapons are not entirely useless.
The LAPA submachine gun is used very little by Warzone players.
This is because some Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War weapons still remain in good shape vis-à-vis the current meta, and even if they aren’t heavily used by players, they can still deal some serious damage.
And recently, it was TikTok user itsjibb who decided to put Cold War’s LAPA submachine gun back in the spotlight, saying that this weapon is still so “OP” even if no one is using it.

According to statistics from WZRanked, the LAPA has almost completely fallen out of favor, as it is currently ranked 73rd among the most used weapons in Warzone.
So while this submachine gun was never a meta choice, if you’re looking for something new to explore for your next games, the LAPA might totally satisfy and surprise you at the same time.
