The Meta group seems more determined than ever to want to make WhatsApp an all-purpose application. While it will soon integrate image-generating artificial intelligence, the application with more than two billion users will soon have a section which will group together your favorite contacts, thus facilitating audio and video calls.
Now, WhatsApp is on the verge of transforming into a telephone following the upcoming integration of a dialing functionality directly integrated into the application.

A few days ago, a new version of WhatsApp beta was deployed on Android through the Google Play program. This version 2.24.9.28 has lifted the veil around a new feature coming to the most popular instant messaging application: a numbering system integrated into WhatsApp.
Concretely, this functionality would allow users to call numbers directly from the application, without having to first save them in their address book. This new tool should prove particularly useful for one-off calls or temporary communications, such as contacting an unknown company or number, for example.
Towards an all-in-one WhatsApp?
