The stars and series creator Dan Fogelman came together to talk about to speak of the finale and season 6 of “This Is Us”. Fans need it though not to be afraid of spoilers, those involved mostly stuck to what is already known about the series finale of the NBC series.

Already the new episodes will start on January 4th on US television. The end is not yet set in stone. “At this moment we are in the process of writing and designing the 15th episode of a total of 18,” explained Fogelman, as reported by the online magazine Deadline. “So we still have three or four more episodes ahead of us. We already know what they should look like, we have the plan. But we haven’t written the scripts yet.”

The series creator also hopes some familiar faces from the past to be able to show on the screens again in the last season. Sterling K. Brown (Randall Pearson) confirmed that you will at least see Ron Cephas Jones (“Mr. Robot”) in the role of William “definitely” again.

The second half of season 6 at the latest will be “incredibly” complex, explained Fogelman. “It’s going to be very dynamic. A lot of traveling, a lot of time leaps and we haven’t quite got to the shooting stage,” explains the series creator. “So we’re just preparing a little for the tasks ahead.”

As you should already know, a great deal of emphasis is placed on the complications in the marriage of Kate (Chrissie Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) that will eventually lead to the separation. The plot is also dedicated to “Kevin and his ongoing existential crisis, which will be the end of his romantic story.
