this is what the electric convertible looks like with a range of 1000 km

After talking about its enormous range, Fisker has released a first rendering of the future Ronin convertible. The automotive brand’s technological showcase will be frankly futuristic.

This is the week Fisker winks. After showing some images of its compact SUV, the Fisker Pearl, it’s the turn of an all-electric 4-seater convertible to appear on the brand’s website.

You may not be familiar with the Fisker brand, however, CEO Henrik Fisker has a long history in the automotive world. It is the designer of cars like the Aston Martin DB9. And, unlike many new brands, Fisker already has a long history. The Fisker Ocean is not Henrik Fisker’s first attempt to make his own car.

In 2011, he developed and produced the Fisker Karma, a plug-in sports sedan (which was a failure). However, its first electric car, the Ocean, is a promising 100% electric SUV. He comes to rub shoulders with the Tesla Model Y. The first customers will be delivered next year.

A 4-seater convertible

This time, Fisker is highlighting a 5-door convertible with 4 seats, a visual of which has been published on the official Fisker website. It’s a digital rendering that shows a convertible with a futuristic front end characterized by a light strip made up of individual LEDs.

Project Ronin will be the world’s first all-electric, convertible, four-door GT sports car.

There’s no grille, which isn’t surprising for an EV, but it looks like the designers have chiseled air intakes into the lower part of the front bumper. McLaren-style front doors and massive wheels add a very sporty touch.

1,000 kilometers of range

This Fisker Ronin electric car will offer 1,000 kilometers of range (WLTP), which would be comparable to the new Tesla Roadster that is still expected. This project is developed by Magic Works, a division based in the United Kingdom and responsible for designing special projects. This would be Fisker’s showcase, so high-flying performance is expected.

The final version of the electric GT will be unveiled in August 2023, while its marketing will begin in the second half of 2024.
