A while ago, the One Piece anime treated fans to a legendary scene, and now we know it broke the internet. Given the passage in question, we are not really surprised.

Gear 5 in One Piece, a legendary scene

Towards the end, Luffy and Kaido face off in a duel, and the Straw Hat is unfortunately defeated. However, it gets up again, and takes a new form, that of Gear 5. The latter has been the subject of numerous theories, and we were finally able to see what it looked like (without spoiling first). It lived up to all expectations, with oh-so-epic music to accompany its revelation. Whether it was manga readers or others, everyone was eager to witness this scene.
To be more precise, this unprecedented power was revealed in episode 1071. On Crunchyroll, which is one of the most used SVOD platforms for watching anime, it was a notable moment. For good reason, we have just been confirmed that there were so many people rushing to watch the sequel that the servers had simply crashed. So we’re playing with the wording “Breaking the Internet”, but that’s a bit of what happened at that level. We can’t even imagine what it will be like when Luffy discovers One Piece.
The anime, which was right in the middle of the Wano arc, ended the story with a bang by featuring many highly anticipated moments. Gear 5, a power that was revealed during episode 1071 and who crashed Crunchyroll, was watched by the audience since its unveiling in the manga. A remake is in the works
To stay on the anime theme, know that a remake is in the works, with no release date to communicate for the moment. Yes yes, a remake resulting from a collaboration between Netflix, WT Studio (The attack of the Titansseasons 1 to 3, Spy x Family) and the creators of the manga. It will be exclusive to the SVOD platform, and it will resume the story from the beginning, that is to say with the East Blue arc. As for its name, no worries, it’s just The One Piece. It’s rather interesting, because we mustn’t forget that all this started in the 90s. As a result, the animation, the staging or the drawings have become a little dated. Considering the studio in charge of the project, we can be reassured about the result.
