This MCU star will play a famous President of the United States in the cinema

Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, will be entitled to his biopic at the cinema. The actor who will don the politician’s costume has been revealed and you probably know him!

After playing rock star Tommy Lee in the Disney+ series Pam & Tommy, Sebastian Stan is preparing to don the costume of another famous American figure: Donald Trump.

The 41-year-old actor, notably known for his interpretation of Bucky Barnes in the Marvel universe, will therefore lend his features to the former President of the USA in his youth.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is titled The Apprentice, in reference to the NBC reality series hosted by Donald Trump. The work will be directed by Ali Abbasi, noted in 2022 for his powerful thriller Nights of Mashhad.

The script is by Gabriel Sherman. The screenwriter had notably written the biography of the founder of Fox News, Roger Ailes. The work served as the basis for the miniseries The Loudest Voice, starring Russell Crowe.

The story is described as “an exploration of power and ambition, set in a world of corruption and deception”. The story will paint a portrait of Donald Trump in the 70s and 80s against the backdrop of his real estate deals in New York.

The film will also explore his relationship with his first wife, Ivana Trump, who will be played by Maria Bakalova (Guardians of the Galaxy 3). Jeremy Strong, hero of Succession, will don the costume of Roy Cohn, Trump’s lawyer.

Filming on The Apprentice has just started and production has not yet announced a release date. In the meantime, Sebastian Stan is currently showing in Dumb Money, in theaters since November 29.

The feature film tells the incredible true story of an ordinary man and his followers who shook Wall Street by betting on GameStop, a company that no one believed in.

By committing all his savings to a crazy bet, Keith Gill and those who decide to follow him will win a lot, a lot of money: Wall Street has its new wolves. But what enriches some impoverishes others, and the investment fund billionaires will not be long in retaliating.
