This mix between the iPhone and a Galaxy S23 has just been announced

If you don’t know Meizu, it’s probably normal. This is a Chinese brand that does not currently market its smartphones in France. And given the difficulties currently encountered by Oppo, OnePlus and Realme, not sure that makes them too eager to try the adventure.

Still, the manufacturer has just released three new models of smartphones that are rather interesting on paper, in addition to a new interface for electric cars, called Flyme Auto. These are the Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro and Meizy 20 Infinity.

Meizu 20: a solid mid-range

It goes without saying that the mid-range in smartphones has grown considerably in 2022. It is therefore difficult to stand out. To achieve this, Meizu went with a design that we can say gives a premium impression by roughly imitating the look of a Samsung Galaxy S23 or A54. With a thickness of 7.99 mm and with thin borders (1.57 mm), it incorporates a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

Even crazier, under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is frankly surprising since it is a chip dedicated to the most expensive smartphones. The photo configuration seems relatively classic with a triple sensor module (50 Mpx, 16 Mpx and 5 Mpx telephoto). Note also a 67 W charge for a 4700 mAh battery. It has relatively pop colors (gray, yellow, mint green and pink).

Meizu 20 Pro: muscle

The Meizu 20 Pro adds even more muscle to an already enticing formula. Larger, it passes on a 6.8-inch screen at QHD+ and 120Hz, as well as 80W charging. The telephoto lens also passes on a much more capable 50-megapixel sensor. The Meizu 20 Infinity for its part adds optical stabilization to the telephoto lens.

Among the small stumbling blocks that can be identified on the two phones, the Meizu 20 and 20 Pro only include IP 54 certification, which would be a problem for them if they were to compete against the market champions in France.

How much would these phones cost in France?

It is always difficult to determine the price of a smartphone from its price in China. Indeed, many taxes will be added as well as the price of transport, keep this in mind.

The Meizu 20 starts at 2999 yuan, or nearly 400 euros excluding VAT. The Meizu 20 Pro for its part starts at 3999 yuan or nearly 535 euros excluding tax. The Infinity model for its part starts at 6299 yuan, or approximately 844 euros excluding tax.
