An iconic actor from the “Star Wars” saga lends his voice to this documentary series on the Second World War which is a hit on Netflix!

On December 7, Netflix unveiled the six episodes of its event documentary series, entitled 39-45: Humanity at War. This program traces the history of the Second World War, each episode (approximately 45 minutes) recounting the main events of each of the seven years of the conflict.

Highly anticipated by the platform’s subscribers, this documentary was a success as soon as it was put online. The series is currently in fourth position in the ranking of the most viewed series on Netflix in France, and is the subject of numerous comments and debates on social networks.

This prestigious series was endowed with a significant budget, which notably enabled it to rework its archive images presented in a completely new quality. Additionally, the program attempts to adopt the viewpoints of the different camps involved in the conflict.

Fans of the original version may have recognized the actor who narrated the program, since it is none other than John Boyega – the interpreter of Finn in the new Star Wars trilogy. The British-Nigerian actor had already appeared on Netflix earlier in the year in the credits of the film They Cloned Tyrone.

In the French version, the voice actor Diouc Koma is the narrator of the film. Official voice actor for John Boyega, the Franco-Malian actor is also in the credits of the Netflix series Pax Massilia by Olivier Marchal (currently in first position in the ranking of the most watched series in France on the platform).

The six episodes of the documentary series 39-45: Humanity at War can be found now on Netflix.
