Several batches of Panzani brand sauce have just been recalled for various manufacturing defects. The Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and the Repression of Fraud calls for the greatest caution.
It is a product that you may have in your cupboards but that should not be consumed. The DGCCRF (General Directorate for Competition, Consumption and the Repression of Fraud) has announced the national recall of the Organic Tomaculi. This is a tomato coulis from the Panzani brand that is generally used for pizza toppings or to make a sauce.
The affected lots are: GTIN 3038350032195 Lot 2220060193 and Lot 2220060194 with a minimum durability date of 01/07/2024. According to the website 750g.com, they can be found in the sauce department in 265 g bricks.
Sold by Intermarché throughout France, this sauce would present a health risk according to Drink reminder, there are manufacturing defects in the products concerned. Micro leaks, packaging anomalies and faulty heat sealing were revealed. The product therefore does not have satisfactory health guarantees.
A health risk
Drink reminder calls not to consume this product even if it has already been purchased. It is advisable to bring it back to the supermarket or a refund will be issued. After consumption of one of the defective batches and in case of doubt about its state of health, it is recommended to contact a doctor as soon as possible. The end of the recall of defective batches has been set at October 8, 2022.
