Six months pregnant, Stéphanie Riquelme shared her misadventure. This mother of “large families” had to go to the emergency room for a health concern.

Whether current or former participants, we closely follow the pink notebook of Large families. Delighted for Stéphanie Riquelme, who arrived on the TF1 show at the start of the year, Internet users had a fright about her new pregnancy.

But we would have liked better news for the Riquelme tribe. The stay-at-home mom of six (Kayliah, 10; Kalyanah, 9; Kélennah, 7; Giulyano, 6; Giullyan, 5; and Livyo, 2) announced that she had to go to the emergency room. Sued in court by former participants, Large families: Life in XXL still a hit on TF1. The new Riquelme recently announced a happy event. Six months pregnant, Stéphanie explained that she did not want to announce it earlier, including in their entourage. And in Story Instagram, she told this week of their misadventure, which occurred a few days earlier: “More fear than harm, but it’s a symptom of pregnancy that I didn’t know and that many don’t know in my opinion”. Shaken by the events, she explains why it is important for her to talk about it: “I don’t see why it’s a taboo because if we, future mothers, were aware, it would save us stress“.

Still on vacation last Friday, the family was not doing anything special but the mom suddenly had fluid loss with painful contractions. She explains : “We know all the losses during pregnancy so we do not worry more than that. But I had blood loss and painful contractions. So there, I went to consult in maternity”.

The couple took care of the children and then went to the emergency room, where Stephanie underwent various examinations. But the results are reassuring and the loss of fluid was not related to the rupture of her water bag, contrary to what she feared. “It’s because of my high hormone levels, it can happen“, specified the mother of the family. She had never heard of this symptom, neither from the midwife nor from the gynecologist or from a relative.
