“This sentence cut my legs off”: Sidonie Bonnec recounts her disastrous experience with Jean-Jacques Bourdin

A moving testimony… On January 15, 2022, the Parisian revealed that a former BFMTV journalist had filed a complaint against Jean-Jacques Bourdin for attempted sexual assault. If since then, Fanny Agostini has decided to lift the veil on her identity and reiterated her words in a Mediapart survey, she was able to count on the support of Sidonie Bonnecwho in turn agreed to denounce the inappropriate behavior of the famous journalist. Thus, the pretty blonde returned to her meeting with Jean-Jacques Bourdin on the set of Jean-Marc Morandini’s show on D8, in 2010. At the start of her career, the young woman dreamed of doing radio. So the journalist would have offered to discuss it over lunch. “I’m not suspicious, I’m enthusiastic, I go for it“, she recalled.

Assuring that RMC “was always looking for people”, Jean Jacques Bourdin would then have proposed to Sidonie Bonnec to hold a press review in the morning. When they met again for lunch and dinner, the journalist said: “I did not find it suspicious because it was summer, he worked at noon. We debrief, he gives me advice, we progress, he is nice, interesting, really not out of place.“Things would have taken a different turn at the start of the school year. During a lunch, Jean-Jacques Bourdin would have proposed to the pretty blonde to accompany him to Calvi, in order to expand his network. She indeed remembered: “He tells me that’s good, that next weekend he will be at a festival in Calvi, and that it will be an opportunity to meet people in the business.“

Sidonie Bonnec: “I’ve never been into seduction, I’m a very straight person”

If the journalist assures that she was not thrilled by this proposal, she ended up accepting, seeing that she was touching her dream of doing radio with her fingertips. “He told me that I would be staying at the hotel with the guests. Everything was credible, I was going there with my eyes closed,” she confided. Two days before departure, Jean-Jacques Bourdin will call him to inform him that the hotel is finally full. “But he said to me: ‘You’re lucky, we have a villa with a friend, we invite you. There is a swimming pool, don’t forget your bathing suit’“, she said. Upset, Sidonie Bonnec explained:” This sentence broke my legs. Suddenly it wasn’t professional at all. I did not see my future boss telling me: ‘Take your bathing suit’. I thought we had a huge problem.” If her companion had told her not to go, the journalist would have finally asked her to accompany him. Finally, the journalist revealed: “Of course, I never got the job. It was really about getting a job. For me, it was serious. And I’ve never been into seduction, I’m a very straight person.“
