The American brand Cyrusher is launching a new full-suspension speedbike-type “electric bike”, which can accommodate a double battery and even a second motor.
Today, electric bikes have assistance limited to 25 km/h. Another more anecdotal category exists, that of speedbikes, capable of reaching 45 km/h: they are nevertheless subject to strict legislation in terms of equipment and accessories, including the integration of a license plate. Often, these powerful vehicles are derived from VAEs, like a Mustache Friday FS 27.
Up to 180 km of range and 1.5 kW of power
For its part, the American firm Cyrusher offers a new model designed basically like a speedbike, the Scout. This bike looks more like a small motorcycle than an e-bike, with its open and robust frame, its double rear arm, its high U-shaped handlebars, its large fixed saddle, its large round headlight, its indicators, its mirrors and its large 24 inch Kenda Crusade tires with a 4 inch section. With these, the Cyrusher Scout swears by comfort, adding a double suspended fork as well as a pneumatic rear shock absorber.
But what might interest the general public are the performances. The brand offers its speedbike in two variants, one with a single Bafang 1,000 W rear motor and a 1,040 Wh battery (52 V x 20 Ah), and the other called “Pro”, combining two front and rear motors. of 750 W, and a second battery, for a total of 2.08 kWh. Not so far from the 2.26 kWh of the recent Fiido Titan with 3 batteries.

With this capacity, the Cyrusher Scout Pro could cover 180 km, the range of the base model being 90 km. If this two-wheeler can easily climb to 45 km/h, whether by pedaling or via a trigger, it is also versatile thanks to its Shimano Tourney TX50 7-speed derailleur transmission.
A reasonable price for this heavily equipped speedbike
With double suspension, two motors and two batteries, the Cyrusher Scout Pro should break the ceiling in terms of prices. Its price is “only” 3,999 euros, far from a speed bike traditional easily exceeding 4,000 or even 5,000 euros. The basic version, with a single motor and battery, costs 2,999 euros.
