Already popular in Germany, Tonies’ Toniebox is arriving in France with its collectible figurines, from strong licenses popular with children (Disney, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, etc.). Enough to constitute an alternative to TV.

Well finished, easy to use and producing good sound reproduction, the Toniebox can count on a strong catalog made up of stories and songs from the most famous children’s accounts and cartoons. Although it encourages the purchase of figurines to access this content, we appreciate that it also leaves the possibility of adding our own content through specific figurines, thus avoiding locking us into an ecosystem that can become quite expensive. However, let’s hope that the number of figurines available with French content will increase quickly.

The little Merlin speaker, storyteller from Bayard and Radio France, can count on a varied and well-stocked catalog, for all ages and above all accessible without having to put your hand in your pocket. It can also be used in addition to a subscription to a Bayard or Milan magazine, to enjoy its stories in audio format. Its sound quality, without being exceptional in absolute terms, is a strong point compared to competing storytellers who too often neglect this aspect. Despite a few small flaws, Merlin’s magic does indeed work.
