Outlander Season 7 is currently streaming on Netflix. But readers of Diana Gabaldon’s saga will be surprised to find that one of the novels’ most iconic sex scenes has been erased from the script.
After more than a year of patience, Netflix subscribers have finally found Claire, Jamie, Brianna, Roger, Ian, and all the other Outlander characters. Season 7 of Outlander has finally started, with one episode posted on the platform per week. You are probably aware that the romantic series in period costumes is adapted from a series of books by Diana Gabaldon. Novels that include many sex scenes, often transcribed in the series. However, readers of the literary saga may be a tad disappointed. One of the the most emblematic scenes of this 7th novel entitled The echo of distant hearts has been erased. Warning, spoiler, if you haven’t read this novel, don’t read on.
Claire and Jamie (played by Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan) find themselves separated once again by the war that ignites the territory. Worse still, Claire believes her husband to be dead, missing at sea. Also, she recreates a life for herself, with John Grey. However, Jamie is not dead, and returns to look for her. He finds his wife in a garden of flowers and medicinal herbs. They will both take shelter in a greenhouse. Very happy to meet again, they kiss and begin to want to go further. But tired from his trip, Jamie is having a little trouble getting on “in the mood”. When Claire offers to help him, he pushes her hand away and ask him to touch himself in front of him instead. She starts to masturbate, and asks him to do the same. Very shocked by this request, he initially refuses. But at her insistence, he complies. The rest, you can easily imagine…

Outlander season 7: this other sex scene that we are waiting for
It is not yet known what all the episodes of this season will be made of. What we know is that the screenwriters have integrated many elements of the 6th, 7th and 8th volumes of the saga, not knowing if a season 8 of Outlander would be recorded. And there is a scene that we would really like to see in the series. Threatened with being sent to prison for her relations with the rebels, Claire has no choice but tomarry John Gray. Both coexist in friendship, living in parallel their mourning for Jamie whom they believe dead. One evening, however, after drinking too much, they make love with passion, while both thinking of the leader of the missing Clan Fraser. We do not know if Caitriona Balfe and David Berry will offer Netflix subscribers a passionate sex scene as hot as in the novels. But we hope so!
