Good news for our spending. After Made.com furniture and Camaïeu clothing, the Noz clearance chain has announced the upcoming sale of the furniture and decoration brand Habitat. As a reminder, the company was liquidated on December 28, 2023. In the coming days, more than 130,000 items will be offered to customers of the 320 Noz stores in France. In a press release, the store chain explains that “logistics teams are mobilized to organize the rapid recovery of stocks and thus ensure arrival in two stages”. A poorly received decision
To repay part of the company’s creditors, the Noz clearance chain purchased the stock of the Habitat brand’s points of sale at auction. If Noz consumers will be delighted with the announcement, the former customers are angry. In fact, many of them are still waiting for their compensation. The latter are trying to keep their hopes alive, since the Habitat brand will be relaunched by the site vente-unique.com. The latter is committed to “orchestrating the rebirth of the iconic brand”, with a new range of furniture, but also to compensating the 9,000 French customers “impacted by the liquidation of the previous operator of Habitat”. To receive this compensation, a form has been available for a few days on the furniture brand’s website. Vente-unique.com undertakes to “study each file and get back to customers within 3 to 5 weeks” and to offer, free of charge, purchase vouchers that customers can use for the purchase of Habitat products, sold on the Habitat.fr website.
