Comic-Con is finally canceled due to the corona pandemic. Instead, a free online event is planned for the end of July.

The Comic-Con comic fair in San Diego, USA, has been postponed due to the corona pandemic. The organizers announced this on the homepage on Monday. "We made the difficult decision to postpone Comic-Con 2021 as a presence event to 2022 and to hold this year's event again as a free online Comic-Con @ Home," the statement said. As in the previous year, this was done "out of concern for public health and safety". The free, three-day online event will therefore take place from July 23 to 25, 2021.

However, the organizers indicated that they are planning a smaller, presence event in California for November, which they will inform about at a later date. The next real Comic-Con is expected to take place in July 2022.
