But as an adult, around 30, I went to his house for dinner with my father. I was freaked out during the whole meal, I didn't dare say a word of the evening ". As for their reunion to record together, Thomas Dutronc said he was more comfortable with the singer of the Vieilles canailles: "It was great! I didn't freak out at all!"
A session that took place during confinement and during which the two artists had a good time: "We drank whiskey, although we were confined to it all, but the whiskey also disinfects. On his Instagram account, the singer unveiled a snapshot of their meeting in music, December 1, 2020. In caption, he began by writing: "Even if I very quickly listened to Rock or Pop when I was a child or teenager, my younger years were still marked by listening to some great songs and singers … Eddy Mitchell is one of the 2 -3 great artists that my mother took me to see in concert when I was 6, 7, 8 or 9 years old because I loved their songs ".
Before remembering the day he first heard the song The last session at "4-5 years": "I still have the image of the white cinema screen in the room where we were listening to music while I discovered the melody, the guitar arpeggios, the lyrics, beautiful and that they were engraved in my heart forever… ". And to conclude with emotion: "And suddenly, 43 years later, I dared to ask Eddy to sing it with me!
