Duchess Meghan’s (40) father Thomas Markle (77) has left the hospital. He had been treated there for five days after a stroke. british media, including the “Daily Mail”, citing a statement by the 77-year-old that he thanks the “wonderful doctors and nurses” who “saved his life”. “I am very grateful and I know how lucky I am to be alive,” he said.
Markle is yet to speak again, “but I’m working hard and will thank people properly when I can.” The former cinematographer and lighting director had originally planned to travel to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee (96). However, nothing came of it after the stroke he suffered.
Thomas Markle wishes the Queen “a happy anniversary”
“I wanted to come to pay my respects to the Queen,” British media quote Thomas Markle as saying. Now he wishes her “a happy anniversary and many more years”. The 77-year-old had in an interview with GB News announced his visit to London at the end of April. Thomas Markle had hoped that there could be a reconciliation with his daughter and her husband Prince Harry (37).
The relationship between Thomas Markle and his daughter has long been broken. According to his own statement, Prince Charles (73) would also have liked to meet Markle and thank him for leading his daughter to the altar. Markle missed Meghan and Harry’s wedding on May 19, 2018 due to heart surgery.
