Thor 4: Chris Hemsworth unrecognizable on the set of Mad Max

Currently starring in ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’, Chris Hemsworth was spotted filming the highly anticipated ‘Furiosa’. And the least we can say is that he has changed a lot…

Filming of Furiosa, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, which will also be directed by George Miller, began in Australia a few weeks ago with Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy, who will reprise the role of the title character here previously performed by Charlize Theron. In the skin of a villain, the actor of Marvel appeared unrecognizable on the first images of the production.

Indeed, the very first photos of Chris Hemsworth on the set have been unveiled and testify to the transformation of the actor for the role. With long red hair, a handlebar mustache and a long beard, he looks very different from his usual look – that of Thor in the MCU.

While we don’t yet have any concrete information about the character played by Chris Hemsworth, we do know that Furiosa’s story will focus on the rivalry between two tyrants, Immortan Joe and the warlord Dementus, as they contend for control of the Wasteland and the Citadel. The young Furiosa, torn from her native Green Earth, then falls into the hands of the Dementus biker gang and tries to survive in order to one day be able to return home.

Rumors are well underway concerning the allocation of the roles of the antagonists. Also announced in the casting, it is said that Tom Burke could play the young Immortan Joe, due to his resemblance to the adult version of the character played by Hugh Keays-Byrne in Fury Road. Chris Hemsworth would play the role of the second main villain, Dementus. To be continued…

Furiosa has already been announced in theaters for May 22, 2024. In the meantime, you can find Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Love And Thunder in theaters since July 7.
