three aids up to 200 euros to pay your energy bills

From January 2023, the government tariff shield on electricity and gas will be reduced and tariffs will increase by 15%. At the same time, the rebate granted to the pump on the liter of gasoline will stop, naturally increasing the price of the tank. But aid exists to get through the winter.

Each exceptional energy

Exceptional energy checks will be paid out to 12 million French households this winter to cope with rising prices. This financial aid between 100 and 200 euros is complementary to the traditional energy check for the month of April, the amount of which varies between 44 and 277 euros. This check is used to pay for energy expenses related to housing or energy renovation work.

In detail, the energy check of 200 euros will be intended for the 20% of the most modest households while households in deciles 3 and 4, located between the poorest 20% and the wealthiest 60%, will receive 100 euros.

In December 2021, the government sent an exceptional check for 100 euros to the usual beneficiaries. The average rate of use of this aid was 74.75% at the end of June 2022, i.e. 4.3 million exceptional checks used.

In 2021, only 4 out of 5 beneficiaries have spent their energy check to pay electricity or gas bills. This year, only 66% of the beneficiaries of this aid, for an average amount of 149 euros, have benefited from it so far.

Each fuel oil

From November 8, aid of between 100 and 200 euros depending on income will be triggered for people heating with oil and who were unable to benefit from the tariff shield put in place for electricity and gas.

Its amount will be 200 euros for a single person at minimum wage with at least one child100 euros for a single person with the minimum wage without children and 100 euros for a single woman with 2 children earning around 3000 euros net per month, detailed the government.

It can be requested on the chequeenergie.fr site where a simulator will show who is eligible, said the Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal. If the households concerned have already filled up their fuel tank, the check, valid for one year, can be used to pay their electricity bills.

According to the government, 1.4million households could benefit from this check of the 2.8 million who heat with oil.

Kickback the pump

the 30 cent boost per liter has been extended until mid-November by Elisabeth Borne. The discount that has applied since September 1 will therefore not end on October 31 as planned.

From November 15, on the other hand, it will be 10 cents until December 31, 2022. This general decline at the pump should not go beyond the end of the year.

On the side of TotalEnergies, the additional discount of 20 cents will also be extended before being reduced to 10 cents until the end of the year.
