fun, news, tips … what else?

Last August, three newborn bodies were discovered in the annex of a house in Mézeray (Sarthe). An investigation had been opened for intentional homicide of a minor. This Tuesday, December 7, 2021, major excavations have resumed.

The facts are sordid, the discovery even more so. Last August, in the Municipality of Méazeray in Sarthe, a 40-year-old man reported to the police that he had found human remains in a cabinet, locked, from his house nestled in the woods. At the time, this Sarthois, unknown to the police, was tidying up his home, following the death of his companion on August 12.

Dispatched there, the gendarmerie, the coroner and the technicians in criminal identification discovered not one but three decaying newborn bodies. According to BFMTV, the bodies were “in plastic bags, wrapped in clothing” and hidden in an annex of the property. The advanced state of decomposition of the corpses did not allow “to determine whether they are fetuses or infants”.

The investigation continues

Following this macabre discovery, a judicial investigation had been opened against X by the public prosecutor’s office at Le Mans, on August 25, for intentional homicide of a minor under 15. Since then, more than three months later, the investigation is still ongoing.

This Monday, December 6, a new research device was set up by the investigators. According to West France, new searches have resumed not far from the home. A mechanical shovel was requisitioned to turn over the earth in a meadow forming part of the farmhouse of the building. At the end of the day, a large trench was dug and a large white tent was pitched in the yard of the property. What did they find? For the moment, no information has been released by the authorities.

“The investigation is continuing. And checks are underway to help find elements in the search for the truth.”, reports Ouest France.
