At least three people died and several others were injured in the accident of a regional train which derailed in the Bavarian Alps, in the south of Germany, announced Friday June 3 the local police.

Several carriages of the train making the connection between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Munich came off the tracks at Burgrain, causing the death of three people and injuring one “undetermined number of other passengers”, Bavarian police said in a statement.
