Three injured – because of dizziness on the oncoming lane

A serious accident occurred on Saturday in Mellau (Vorarlberg). A driver was suddenly struggling with health problems and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

A 56-year-old man was driving his car on the L 200 Bregenzerwald road between Mellau and Bezau on Saturday afternoon. Suddenly, the driver suffered a dizzy spell and lost control of his car. This got into the oncoming lane, where a 73-year-old was driving in his car. A collision could no longer be prevented. The vehicles crashed into each other with full force. Both drivers and the passenger of the 73-year-old were injured to an unspecified degree in the crash and had to be taken to Dornbirn hospital. Both cars were wrecked and had to be towed away.
