Through My Window on Netflix: How does the Spanish trilogy end?

Warning, spoilers. The following paragraphs reveal plot elements from the film Through My Window: Eye to Eye.

Debuting in 2022, Through My Window is one of the latest successful teenage sagas on Netflix. This romantic franchise, in the vein of After, tells the complex love story between Raquel (Clara Galle) and Ares (Julio Peña, who you recently saw in Berlin, the La Casa de Papel spin-off).

It ends this year with the release of the third and final film, Through My Window: Eyes to Eyes. Highly anticipated by fans, this final feature film concludes the complex but torrid romance imagined by Ariana Godoy, whose writings on Wattpad (social network where registered users can edit and share stories, poems, fanfiction and novels of all kinds) became published books.

So how does this love story between Raquel and Ares end? On a good note, like any self-respecting romantic comedy. Here is the end of Through My Window: Eye to Eye.

How does the romance between Ares and Raquel end?

Shortly after the tragic events that occurred during the summer in the second part Through My Window: Love for Horizon, Raquel and Ares decide to separate. Even though love was always present, their disagreements got the better of their relationship.

And the death of Yoshi, Raquel’s best friend, shook the whole group, separated during the new school year. Thinking the distance would do them good, Raquel stayed in Barcelona while Ares returned to university in Sweden.

But the end of year celebrations will change everything. Indeed, Through My Window: Eye to Eye takes place at Christmas. Ares returns to Barcelona to reunite with his family, but he does not come alone. He is in a relationship with Vera (Andrea Chaparro). For her part, Raquel is in a relationship with Gregory (Iván Lapadula).

The young woman will celebrate the release of her novel Through My Window, recounting her relationship with Ares, which Yoshi had sent to a publishing house. Everything seems to be going smoothly for Raquel.

But it is clear that the feelings between Ares and Raquel are still there. When Gregory realizes that Raquel is still writing about Ares for her second novel, he decides to break up with her. Raquel and Ares then see each other in secret and the flame between the two is rekindled.

But Raquel gives Ares an ultimatum and asks him to choose between Vera and her. What she doesn’t know is that Vera and Ares have some sort of arrangement because their two families see their union as a way to partner in their business.

Ares wants to convince Vera, who loves another, to stop their relationship and he wants to join Raquel for the New Year. But the latter, depressed, went to party with her friends, including Anna (Carla Tous), Yoshi’s ex who still blames Raquel for her death.

Anna puts pills in Raquel’s glass, who wanted to find Ares. She changes her mind at the last moment but the damage is done and Raquel has drunk her drink. Drugged, Raquel spends the night in the club and wakes up disoriented when Ares calls her before leaving for Sweden.

Sensing that she is in danger, he rushes to find her and saves her at the last minute. The two wake up in the hospital, happy to finally be together again. During a reading and signing session of her book, Raquel finds Anna, who comes to apologize for her behavior and they go together to pay tribute to Yoshi at the site of his accident.

5 years later

The film Through My Window: Eye to Eye ends on a happy note. We find Ares and Raquel, five years after the events below. The two lovebirds move into a new apartment together and seem ready to spend the rest of their lives together.

We leave them on the balcony of their new home for a last kiss while the two lovers tell each other that they love each other. So it’s a great ending for Raquel and Ares, who finish well as a couple.
