Thrown onto the field – motorcyclist (56) in intensive care after crash

Serious motorcycle accident on Saturday night in Tyrol! A 56-year-old fell his vehicle in Mils near Hall and landed in a field. A driver found the local man seriously injured and started the rescue chain. The biker had to be taken to the intensive care unit.

At around 1.45 a.m., the 56-year-old was on his motorcycle on the Tiroler Straße (B 171) from Mils towards Volders. “For reasons unknown, he fell in front of the Volderer Bridge and slid across the left lane into the adjacent field,” the police say. Police are asking for information. An oncoming vehicle driver noticed a light shining in the field, whereupon he turned around and saw the motorcycle driver who had an accident found in the field. “The 56-year-old suffered serious injuries, was taken to the Innsbruck clinic by ambulance and is receiving intensive medical care,” explain the investigators. The motorcycle was a total loss. The B171 was only passable in two directions for around an hour. Further investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
