Ticket to Paradise on Netflix: an actor from Emily in Paris turns Julia Roberts’ head in this film!

In Ticket to Paradise, Julia Roberts falls under the spell of this French actor who is on the rise…

The freezing temperatures and gloomy weather seem to have convinced Netflix subscribers to jump on Ticket to Paradise, which has just joined the catalog. The romcom worn by Julia Roberts and Georges Clooney is currently second in the top 10, close behind Le Cercle des neiges. It must be said that the film takes us to Bali where an separated couple is reunited to try to prevent their daughter from making the same mistake they did in the past: giving in to love at first sight.

If Ticket to Paradise marks the reunion between two big names in cinema, we also note the presence in the casting of Lucas Bravo. The French actor is particularly known for his role in the Netflix series Emily in Paris, where he plays a French chef who falls under the spell of the heroine (Lily Collins). Since then, the young man has been producing productions in English.

In this rom-com, he takes on the costume of an air captain in a relationship with Julia Roberts and in direct competition with Georges Clooney. A big move which allowed him to test another style – pure comedy – since his character is like a big teenager who is madly in love, but who doesn’t really have the shoulders to live a serious relationship.

The opportunity also for the actor from Nice to respond to two actors who rocked his youth:

“George and Julia immediately put me at ease. George whispered a joke in my ear that made me burst out laughing. It was something completely down to earth. Julia and George feel the pressure that playing with them represents. They do everything to defuse it.” before revealing that he is more of a prankster than Clooney: “I gained confidence and the last day we were filming together, I ordered a Batman costume as a nod to his fandom Batman and Robin and I went to knock at his door. He laughed and the scene ended up in the credits of the film.” (Le Figaro).

Who are the young actors opposite George Clooney and Julia Roberts?

Another French actor is hiding in the film

But Lucas Bravo is not the only French actor in this old-fashioned romcom. Gede, the fiancé of Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) is in fact played by Maxime Bouttier, a young Indonesian actor of French origin, born in Poitiers. Although he has already appeared in around twenty Indonesian productions, Ticket To Paradise is his first feature film in the English language. Also a director and musician, the young man has not yet made any other films since.
