Star golfer Tiger Woods and his son celebrated their tournament premiere in Florida. "These are memories for a lifetime," enthuses Dad.

Golf offspring Charlie Woods (born 2009) comes after his father, star golfer Tiger Woods (44, "How I Play Golf"). At the weekend, the father-son team celebrated their joint tournament premiere at the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. "These are memories for a lifetime," enthused the proud father, according to the US magazine "People", after the two-day tournament in which both the professional and the young athletes scored impressive hits.

"Words alone cannot describe it," explained Woods. He is so grateful that he was allowed to have this experience. Nonetheless, this time another duo was ahead of the game in the event known as the Father / Son Challenge with Justin and Mike Thomas.

Golf as a family affair

And yet the training is obviously paying off. Because Charlie Woods has already made a name for himself in Florida as a successful junior golfer; in August he even won a tournament. His famous father had also been seen as a caddy for his son.

Tiger Woods is one of the most successful golfers in sporting history and one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. He leads the world rankings for a total of more than 680 weeks. At the end of the 00s / beginning of the 10s, he first got into a private and subsequently also into a sporting crisis. In 2013 he managed to return to the top of golf.

Charlie Axel Woods comes from the marriage (2004-2010) of the American golf professional to the former Swedish model Elin Nordegren (40). The couple also have daughter Sam Alexis Woods (born 2007).
