Tikehau Capital: launch of Opale Capitale

(Boursier.com) — Opale Capital is a 100% digital platform created to facilitate access to unlisted investment for financial advisors on behalf of their private clients.
Backed by Tikehau Capitalan alternative asset management group, Opale Capital is aimed at Wealth Management Advisors (CGP), private banks and multi-family offices in France to enable them to offer their private clients privileged access to invest in investment funds, traditionally reserved for institutional clients.

Opale Capital responds to the growing interest of private investors for private assets, and aims to offer different investment strategies in unlisted companies: private equity, private debt and real estate. The investment, made through a new Fund set up in the form of a Free Partnership Company (SLP) under French law, managed by the management company Equitis Gestion, advised and distributed by Opale Capital, is accessible to informed investors. The minimum investment required in the general case is 100,000 euros, and is lowered to 50,000 euros for so-called professional individual customers.

“Private investors aspire to diversify and optimize the potential returns of their heritage, and this in the current economic context with still very volatile markets. Private equity and the whole range of unlisted assets, characterized by their long-term horizon and the strong alignment of interests of management companies with their investors, represent an attractive investment alternative to be offered by wealth management advisers. As such, selectivity in the choice of investment teams and funds will be essential,” said Paul Moreno Blosseville, Executive Director at Opale Capital.

The platform developed by Opale Capital allows all administrative procedures (registration, subscription) to be carried out digitally and provides the documentation required throughout the investment (reporting, capital calls and potential distributions) on its investor portal. .

“We wanted to focus on three essential criteria for Opale Capital’s platform: data security, technological adaptability and user-friendliness. To do this, we benefited from the combined experience of the digital crowdfunding platform real estate Homunity, a subsidiary of Tikehau Capital since 2019, and the group’s expertise in unlisted assets” explains

Clarisse Ohana, Director of Operations at Opale Capital.
The selection of investment funds is carried out by Opale Capital, which also relies on the expertise of the Tikehau Capital group, a leading unlisted player in Europe. The selection process is based on the analysis of the managers’ past performance, the structure of the investment team and the conditions of the investment fund (strategy, financial conditions, governance clauses, etc.).

For its launch, Opale Capital selected as a priority two investment strategies in the capital of companies linked to sectors with high potential for growth and innovation: technology and health. By the end of 2022, the offer will be extended to other private equity strategies addressing underlying trends such as energy transition or cybersecurity, as well as private debt and real estate.
