TikTok disruption: users report problems with the app – only iOS affected?

TikTok users around the world are currently reporting problems with the TikTok app, including in Germany. Android users don’t seem to be affected. However, many iOS users complain that the app closes itself immediately after launch, logs users out and then doesn’t stay open long enough to be able to log back in.

The error seems to have nothing to do with the iOS version used, some users with iOS 16 can use the app, others not. Instead, there could be a connection with the current TikTok version 25.9.0. However, an official statement from TikTok was not available at the time the report was written. It is still unclear how long the disruption will last.
