TikTok launches a new tool to facilitate the exploitation of its platform by small and medium-sized enterprises.

The tool comes in the form of a six-week program that will last until August 19.

An educational tool for small businesses

The program is called ” Follow Me (in French: “am me”) and is a guide that aims to teach small and medium-sized businesses to grow on TikTok. The program is led by two entrepreneurs, the creators Cassie Sorensen and Jacob Zander. Themselves have used TikTok for their brands Tassel Amor and Feed Your Soul. They will explain how they used the platform to create an interested community and a loyal customer base.

For six weeks, Follow Me will send out a series of emails that will guide brands through their TikTok campaign. The program stresses the importance of telling the story of the brand, sharing with subscribers personal details and behind-the-scenes production. The goal is to weave a stronger and more interpersonal bond with the potential customer than with a classic advertising campaign.

An interesting return for TikTok

The guide allows you to create a Business account for free and gives you access to the Creative Center to learn how to use trendy trends and challenges. The program also provides an overview of how entrepreneurs can use sponsored ads to enhance their content by creating an advertiser account on TikTok.

Several different business models will be available, based on the needs of each small business. In addition, the program is free for interested entrepreneurs. Indeed, the application will eventually be able to generate large revenues thanks to them, in particular by promoting their content, which is profitable for TikTok. It’s a give and take deal. The platform is estimated to recoup $11.6 billion in ad revenue by the end of the year. But, if TikTok wants to compete with Meta, it’s going to have to attract small businesses.

Recall that the platform has been in turmoil since recent revelations about the sharing of user data with ByteDance employees in China. This program could therefore be a means of redeeming oneself with the public.
