Tinder: your loved ones will be able to interfere in your love life

Your friends (or parents) can now choose your next date on Tinder.

According to a survey signed OnePoll, and commissioned by Tinder, more than 75% of singles say they discuss their love life with their friends several times a month. Today, the platform is launching Matchmaker, which allows loved ones to asynchronously access Tinder to recommend profiles.

Tinder now allows you to call a friend

Concretely, with its new Matchmaker function, Tinder wants to integrate the famous “friendtest/familytest” directly into its dating application. To do this, users of the platform can call on other people, registered or not on Tinder, to allow them to see, and especially to suggest potential encounters.

In this way, the user can view the profiles that have been suggested by friends and/or family, in order to consider a future meeting. Obviously, it is the user and he alone who retains the last word, since only the latter can agree to send a precious like to a profile suggested by a loved one.

Tinder Matchmaker, how does it work?

The user can launch a session directly from their profile. We then benefit from a unique link to share with a maximum of 15 loved ones, over a period of 24 hours. The loved ones in question will then be able to connect to Tinder, in order to play virtual cupids, and recommend profiles.

Obviously, guest profiles will not be able to chat or send messages with other users (which would be very useful in certain situations, let’s face it). After 24 hours, the user receives the profiles suggested by their loved ones.

According to Melissa Hobley, head of marketing at Tinder: “ Tinder Matchmaker brings your circle of trust into your love journey and helps you see the possibilities you might overlook from the perspective of your loved ones.”

This new feature is already available in France (and in many other countries), and allows you to bring your circle of trust into your meetings.
