Class adjustments

Addressed the following class specific issues:

  • The Brr-Zerkers weren’t going mad when multiclassed in Slay Death and using the “Bone Reaper” action skill
  • The Mushroom Pet sporoder was not cleaning up after using its mushroom spore attack for all players
  • The stormy punishment of Stormstrike was not switching between fire and electric damage properly. Storm Punishment puddles have been fixed to align with the expected damage type and graphics.
  • Loyal vassal skill bonuses sow-the-death could sometimes accumulate indefinitely
  • The “sequence” cluster of Trucidopath triggered unexpectedly with the chain effect of lightning on the live cable SM Dahlia

Enchantments – Sporodeur:

  • We changed an enchantment on the Sporodeur, which now has the ability to get an explosion with gun damage only, and not also with skill damage as it was before. We consider that these bonuses increased damage in an unintended way when combined with other skills.

Brr-Zerker:

Freezing Beam and Death’s Breath – for Sow Death – could overlap and increase damage beyond expected late game levels when paired with other damage increases. The changes below are aimed at making melee attacks slightly more powerful in mid-game and in the Chamber of Chaos.

  • Glacial Beam changed to grant the ability to drop a nova during melee attacks, instead of all melee damage sources.
  • Savagery increased to 6% per point of melee damage
  • Damage received from attacks made from a location close to enemies has been reduced to 40%
  • Frenzy melee attack speed increased by 4% per skill point

Sporodder:

  • Nature’s Wrath changed to increase damage to 10% per skill point
  • We increased the skill damage of Affinity to assign 9% per point, to give more potency in the early game
  • We increased the critical hit chance of Bullseye to 12% per point

Stormstrike:

  • We’ve changed Cleansing Flame’s action skills to deal melee fire damage, not just melee damage
  • We’ve increased Stagger’s critical hit chance to 13% per point
  • We’ve increased Stagger critical strike damage to 7% per point
  • We increased the recharge rate of Commit action skills with max shield by 6%
  • We have increased the elemental damage of the Dragon Aura to 5% per point
  • We increased the retaliation damage reduction to 4% per point
  • We increased Oath of Lightning bonus damage to 6% per point
  • We increased the fire damage of bolt pistols to 10% per point
  • We increased the damage reduction of Stormy Breath to 15% per point

Sow-death:

  • We changed Death’s Breath damage to 7% per point to compensate for the additional bugfixes for this skill
  • We have increased the Gather black magic bonus to 5% per point. This brings the magic damage bonus back to a total of 30% with max stacking.
  • We’ve increased Soul Taint to deal 5% Dark Magic damage per point

Trucidopath:

  • We increased the melee damage of the Ethereal Sword to allow it to deal 150% of your melee weapon damage
  • We increased Ghost Sword damage to 85%

defouromage :

  • We have modified Doublette to allow inflicting bonus weapon damage of 4% on the spell critical hits

Change Notes

  • We’ve tweaked the Wheel of Fate to drop more items, as well as Lunar Orbs and Gold.
  • We removed redundant quest markers for “The Assassin of Vorcanar”
  • We removed Hawkins’ Wrath damage increase from the may 5 hotfix. This was necessary to address crashes that were impacting players on Xbox. We will look at how to fix this issue in a future patch.

Freeze Weapon Adjustments

Frost deals damage over time, but we’ve seen some gel-only weapons, e.g. Liquid Cooling, being erroneously balanced as if they weren’t. We are going to augment these weapons so that they deal approximately the same level of damage. Specifically, Queen’s Cry was nerfed because elemental damage was included, but not during balancing. Its damage will be increased to compensate for this error. We plan to change Rain of Fragments in a future hotfix, after analyzing the balance of submachine guns in the Chamber of Chaos.

  • Items would sometimes split unexpectedly
  • Liquid Cooling damage increased by 7.8%
  • Queen’s Cry damage increased by 22.3%
