Bouygues Telecom offers its subscribers a “Guaranteed Internet” service which lives up to its name and which, in addition to being free, allows them to stay connected in many situations. Let’s see what happens.
To prevent you from changing operator at the slightest problem, major change, or waiting until the end of your commitment to do so, Bouygues Telecom tries to put all the chances on its side to retain you. With the guaranteed Internet service, the operator offers a major Internet recharge or the loan of a 4G key to its subscribers, all free of charge. How does it work and how to benefit from it?
Bouygues Telecom offers a large GB top-up on mobile or a 4G key
Guaranteed Internet service offers the possibility of being connected “ in all circumstances », as Bouygues Telecom says. It is possible to benefit from it in three situations:
- In the event of a change of operator, when subscribing to your Bbox,
- In the event of a move or outage, and therefore if continuity of service is broken,
- Or when your internet connection goes down or there is another hardware problem, such as a faulty power cable.
You have the choice: if you prefer internet recharge, Bouygues Telecom will add 200 GB of data to your mobile plan (Bouygues, this is the condition), with activation within 24 hours at the latest. Note that for the third situation (default), the company only offers the loan of a 4G key for 15 days.
If you choose to receive a 4G key, it will work as soon as you receive it, if it is sent to your home by Colissimo or at a Relay Point. If you prefer to collect it in store, you will collect it faster but will have to wait 3 hours for it to be activated.
A service offered with all Bbox offers
If you opt for internet recharge, it is valid for 30 days. Once the period has expired, Bouygues Telecom must notify you by SMS of the end of the validity. Concerning the 4G key, it works until the Bbox services work again or are activated. Note that you can monitor your consumption from the customer area.

If you do not return the 4G key on time, the operator may charge you 59.99 euros for non-return, loss or theft of the latter.
